SYPNOSIS:

At 2:00 a.m. today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 690 kms East of Northern Mindanao (9.0°N, 132.5°E). Southwest monsoon affecting Western section of Luzon and Visayas.

FORECAST:

The whole country will have mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms becoming cloudy with widespread rains over Mindanao and the Western sections of Luzon and Visayas which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Southwest to South will prevail over Luzon and Western Visayas with moderate to rough seas. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate blowing from the Southwest to West with slight to moderate seas except during thunderstorms.
