SYPNOSIS:

At 2:00 p.m. today, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 600 km East of Luzon (16.0°N; 128.9°E). Southwest monsoon affecting the country.

FORECAST:

Luzon, Visayas and the western section of Mindanao will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms becoming cloudy with widespread rains over the western section of Southern Luzon and Western Visayas which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest will prevail over Southern Luzon and Western Visayas with moderate to rough seas. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate blowing from the southwest with slight to moderate seas except during thunderstorms.
