SYPNOSIS:

At 2:00 p.m. today, the center of Tropical Depression "ISANG" was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 590 kms East of Northern Mindanao (9.2°N, 131.2°E) with maximum sustained winds of 55 kph. It is forecast to move west northwest at 19 kph. Meanwhile, a Low Pressure Area was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 285 km west of Iba, Zambales (15.5°N, 117.0°E).

FORECAST:

The whole country will have mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms becoming cloudy with widespread rains over the western sections of Central and Southern Luzon, Western and Eastern Visayas and Eastern Mindanao which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest and south will prevail over Luzon and Western Visayas with moderate to rough seas. Elsewhere, winds will be moderate to occasionally strong blowing from the southwest with moderate to occasionally rough seas.
