SYPNOSIS:

At 4:00 a.m. today, the center of Tropical Depression "HUANING" was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 230 km North Northeast of Basco, Batanes (22.4°N 122.8°E) with maximum winds of 55 kph. It is forecast to move northwest at 24 kph.

FORECAST:

Batanes Group of Islands will experience rains and gusty winds and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough. The rest of the country will have mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms becoming cloudy with widespread rains over the western section of Southern Luzon which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest will prevail over the western sections of Central and Southern Luzon with moderate to rough seas. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate blowing from the southwest with slight to moderate seas except during thunderstorms.
